Northern Scrapbook is a new snowboarding documentary from Finland. Our goal is to bring new perspective to proriders season by showing what moviemaking, professional snowboarding and Finland is all about. We want to show exactly what snowboarding is all about and where are all those finnish pros coming from.

The movie presents the superstars and the talented newcomers of Finnish snowboarding scene. Film is due to release in Fall 2008, covermounted on some of the biggest snowboard magazines around the world including Onboard (EU), Snowboarder (USA), Slammer (FIN) etc.

Movie begins in fall and ends in summer showing all of the four seasons in Finland. Genuine culture from Lapland will have its own place in the production, as well as stunning scenery in various seasons. Besides Lapland we have chosen other exotic filming locations around the world.

This website is going to have weekly updated blog with photos, stories and videoclips and lots of different photo galleries and Scrapbooks. Riders are introduced biweekly with their own photo- and videogalleries plus interviews.


Workgroup:

Document is produced by HDP Films, a producer for many succeeded snowboarding and skiing movies. HDP Films is producing various video- and televisionprojects.

Directors are Miikka Niemi and Teemu Lahtinen. Miikka and his Flatlight Films company made Good Times -movie that had over 90 000 copies distributed worldwide in 2006. Last season he worked with Swiss production company MMP Films, and on various music- and commercial projects. Teemu has been responsible for many smaller scale snowboard film-productions in Finland since 2000, with his production company Northlight Pictures.

The whole production team is professionals in every part of movie making industry, securing excellent final result.
